I appologise for lack of updates, I usually do my blog just before bed, but this week, by the time I have gotten into bed, I have literally collapsed with exhaustion, not that I have gone straight to sleep but blah.
Firstly, and I think most importantly, Andrea got her transplant!!! WOO WOO!! Surgeons said the op went easier than expected, she was taken off the ventilator the same night and sitting up by the next day. She still has a lot of pain and a long way to go, but things are looking oh so good!! This, is the easier bit now, the getting better, the recovering. I think it is much easier to recover, when a positive end is in sight, when you know it will all be worth while. What a christmas gift huh. Still rooting for you Andrea! You can do this!
As for me, life has been hectic or exhausting. I keep telling my mum, that every time that I go out and I have to push myself, my breathing gets a little bit worse and it dosnt re improve, so I try to avoid going out as much as possible to sustain my throat over the holidays. Everyday she comes home and says, why are you not ready, we need to go out. Gah go out yourself!!
Had a doctors appointment today. Due to the amount of antibiotics I have had over the last 10 months in addition to my meds which are harsh on the stomach, I am having a lot of stomach issues. As I cant get rid off the cause by stopping any of the meds, I am now starting on yet another new med, oh the joy. (Icky bit coming up so you might want to skip the rest of this paragraph) The doc also thinks I need to be running extra nebs as my cough is annoying and yet again coughing up hard chunks (lovely) Apparently, this is from my lower airways and all due to me not being able to get enough air out of my lungs in a cough, so it just kinda sits there and dries (hence why I often get a pain in my lungs) especially when I am asleep as my body gets lazy and dosnt breathe as hard, until I am able to get it out ick. Due to it sitting on my chest, I need to doubly keep an eye on my temp and seek treatment, should I get any rise.
Oh, in other news, I decided that I was changing my hair colour for christmas. I wanted to go turquoise and purple. I but the bleach stripping stuff on that I normally use. Did my hair go white? yellow? orange? nope!! It is bright neon bubblegum pink, with glowing white roots! I used a new red dye last time I did it (still semi perment) but it must just have way more staying power than previous ones, and a bleach, that I have perviously used to take black dyed hair to white, would not take all the red out. Looks like I will have to go back to red for Christmas, though mum keeps trying o talk me into going a natural colour (nah)
Tomorrow, I am sitting in the hospital for 3 hours with my niece (makes a change from me) She has broken her wrist (again!) so she has to go for some special bone scan with contrast dye. Joy of joys. I also have mums stocking to finish another sock monkey and a ton of wrapping! I just wrapped most of mums stuff and it took me nearly 2 hours gah!
oh wel, hopefully the stress will be over in a couple of days and I can chill out a bit more hehe.
I shall leave you with a picture of our tree.
And my grumpy Hermy, who was sitting on the fireplace getting a warm off the fire. Dont think he likes having his picture taken.
Im a 26 year old female, who should hold the job title of professional patient these days. Although that is a pretty low paid job. Really, I am just a regular 20 something person trying to find my way in life, whilst fighting a body that seems intent on trying to kill me.

Toy Story 3 and bright hair
Its been a good couple of days. Tiring, but good.
I spent some time out with mum and dad, which was good. It absolutely chucked it down with rain. So much so that our garden turned into a swimming pool and the water on the roads came up near the top of the wheels. But we had a few hours out and I got sleep in the car so I felt ok during it.
Then I had my older niece down for a bit. We wanted to go see Toy story 3, so I had pre-booked IMAX premier seats. Im sure by now you al know my excitement at going to see toy story!
I had already met Woody.
But I am not up to the upkeep at the moment of having two lots of color so I bought some royal blue flashes that just clip in. I have just finished stitching the clips to them in the correct places, but have not tried the length yet. So I shall probably try them out tomorrow.
Anyway, my nieces hair, it took a while whilst I sectioned it up and got the bits in the right place and colored the bits and so forth, but it turned out so good. I am very jealous, I would love this style or even just the main color. Here are pics.

I also met Buzz, but his picture has vanished =[ Must be on the other computer.
So I was very excited.
We went for some lunch first to Red Hot. That is a lovely all you can eat restaurant type place, but I can go there without being too naughty as they have lots of fresh cooked areas. They have a pasta bar, noodle bar and chinese bar. Here you pick your raw ingredients and they cook it while you are standing there. There is also so much choice as they do italian, Indian, English, Chinses, Japense and yeah nom nom.
So I ate a ton there with my niece and had a natter. Then went to see the film!
WOW!! It was so so good. I was apprehensive at first as I didnt like toy story 2, but number 3 is so good. I laughed so much through it and I almost almost cried! I was trying not to cry as I didnt want to make a fool out of myself infront of my niece, who later admitted that she had also cried.
We got the bus home, though we had just missed one so had to wait for ages and then on the way back down came the heavy rain again. It came down so fast the roads were flooded. Got back here and looked at some old phots and watched some true blood.
It was a good day. It was slightly tinged with some aspects that saddened me. She is not used to being out with me so was walking at her normal pace, but there was no way I could keep up without sounding like I had run a marathon. And no way I could have a conversation whilst walking. I actually read somewhere before that if you are exercising by walking and cant hold a conversation whilst you are doing it, then you are walking to fast. So where does that leave me, I cant hold a convo whilst walking at a slow pace. It was amazing how tired I was getting from the bus to the cinema, which is maybe a 10 min walk. The restaurant luckily was right next to the cinema and then back on the bus. Though I did plan the route with the least slopes and even attempted to use the lift at one point instead of the hill, but the building was shut. But hey, lets remain hopeful that that is all going to change soon.
The next day we had a late start so just had a short walk around the town close to where she lives. We had been looking at hair dye pictures and she asked me if I could do hers in a certain style as she wasnt sure how to do it. So she bought hair dye and I bought so clip in flashes for my hair. I would love to have a funky color, more so than red, I mean like 2 colors. I redid my color the other day so its nice and bright again.

I absolutely love it. I hate growing up, you can get away with as much hehe. I think the hardest part of doing this style, was trying to not let the colors mix. If the turquoise even touched the pink, it would instantly turn purple, so you kinda had to be super careful not to knock one section with the other. I suppose I could of vaselined one lot and done it in two goes, but I wanted to get all the dye on in one go and be done with it, rather than washing out and dying and washing out again. Oh well it was fun. So I didnt get home till midnight last night and pretty much just collapsed into bed.

Hairstory
So I hate having plain old boring hair.
Since I was diagnosed with server hearing loss and having to wear hearing aids (thank you Gentamicin) I have kept my hair short. Usually spikey on top with a side fringe and the side long enough to cover my ears. Kinda like this:
Which was great especially when I worked as a nurse (check out the uniform above, though I cut most of it off) As it used to look tidy, but took less than 3 minutes to style and if I was running short on time, I could wash it under a tap and let it dry while driving.
I was born a natural blonde, it was so pale in fact that until I was 3, you could not see that I had any hair. As I got older it began (as it does) to darken, but I just used to lighten it of a summer and leave it of a winter. However, after my transplant, I lost all my hair (from being so ill and stressed.) When it came back, instead of my natural poker straight blonde hair, it grew as thick curly mousey brown hair. But blondes have more fun! Nah really, I just didnt like having brown hair. so I dyed it blonde a lot. But this wasnt very god for my hair as it had to be a strong blonde and I had to do it every 4-6 weeks to cover the roots (effort!)
So I went to a light brown instead:
But as it was semi permant, it needed redoing every other week to keep it vibrant. I know a lot more tricks and such now, but at the time it did come out quick. so I felt like a change so switched to red.
But the red made me look a little pale. So it didnt last all that long. I then made the mistake that you should never ever make. That is dying your hair within 24 hours of having a big event planned. I was going out clubbing to celebrate the end of a long placement. I really wanted to try a medium to dark blue, however over the red, it went very patch and more black (I couldnt at the time pull black off) so I panicked and in an attempt to lighten it, I threw over a load of random colors I had sitting about, including red, pink and purple. (you have to ignore the state of me on this photo, it was like the day after the night before and I really didnt feel well)
So I went for blue. But it didnt really come out to well, though it still looked fairly cool.
I then started on a new degree in computers where I needed to spend a certain amount of hours in an office working, so I had to tone my hair down for the last couple of years. I spent most summers blonde.
And most winters purple.
Though at one point I did go orange by mistake.
Then when I went into hospital a lot last year, I was blonde, but it grew out and I didnt dye it as I didnt feel up to it and such. Eventually I got it cut just before christmas and the majority of the blonde came out and I was left with my natural brown. Once out of hospital, I went back to purple, but it faded pretty quick and I had grown bored of purple.
I still dont have the energy to be dying it every other week, so I wanted a permeant color that was a bit brighter than purple. So far, the only unatural colors I can find in permeant though are purple and red. So last week I began the process of changing color. So it was this shade when I began:
Then on goes the bleach:
Which went a nice bright orange (white white roots)
So I used another lightener (though a more gentle one this time)
Which went a slightly more normal shade of kinda strawberry blonde. (this actully looked fairly good in the sun) But then I finished the job and went:
Or doing a caught in a gale impression:
Though since I have washed it last night, it seems to have gone darker. Whic I am not liking. I want bright bright bright. But this is a permeant color, so I am going to keep it as is for a while. I might redo it in the same color while on holiday if it starts too look washed out and perhaps when I get back off my hols, go for a semi permeant in true over the top. :/
Oh and this is the longests my hair has been in about 5 years (if not more) I have made the descion to let it grow for a while. While I have so much weight on my, espcially around my face (thanks Cushings) I look to much of a big fat blob with short hair. So yeah. That is my hairstory.

Which was fine for the winter months, but as it got warmer, I got bored of having such dark hair. So I kept the purple, but changed the tips to blonde.
While searching for hair dye, I discovered the world of bright semi permant colors. So I became pink. And I loved the pink so so much. It got so many comments and I just loved it.
But as it was semi permant, it needed redoing every other week to keep it vibrant. I know a lot more tricks and such now, but at the time it did come out quick. so I felt like a change so switched to red.

It actully looked fairly cool in real life, as it had all kinds of flecks of color depending where the light hit it. But I decided to give my hair a break. I knew to get any decent color I would need to use a lot of heavy treatment on it. So as the colors washed out, it began to turn into a sort of metallic brown.
Yeah, not my favourite color. So I bleached it. But it had so much color in it, that most of it went white, but the tips turned green. Most people would cal it a disaster, but I actully fairly liked it (And yeah I still have the urge to go apple green all over, maybe one day.)
