Winter and Normality?

Ah winter is most defintly here!! I can hear the winds howling past my window.
The winds was so strong the other day that every tree was stripped bare so it looks like winter now. But what was more fun, is that my doctors surgery is situated at the end of a little side street. The street has trees lining the end. The winds from the nigh before had blown all the leaves down the street, so there was huge piles of them. I got out the car and I was literally knee deep in leaves.

Yes, I will admit it, I did kick them about a bit. It was like reliving my childhood. I used to walk home from school in my wellington boots, kicking the leaves and feeling their crunch under my foot. Normally, I wouldnt do this now, as an adult, usually because you never know where your feet are going, or fear of running pretty shoes, but what the hell, it was fun and I walked into the doctors with a big grin on my face.

One problem with winter, is the weather. I wanted to do some present shopping for my mum, so I arranged to meet my niece in town on Wednesday. When I awoke, the rain was pouring down my window and my room was freezing. I had planned to shower and wash my hair as it was a mess. But just the thought of getting out a hot shower into the cold and having to dry my hair before leaving the house was enough to put me off. This is where it comes in useful having bad weather. Started off having a bad hair day.

To winter hat yay!!

Though i couldnt decide between white or black! I went with white in the end, but looking back now, perhaps black looks better.

It was good being out. I had a catch up with my niece, felt very festive and felt pretty normal. Sure, I had to stand still for a couple of minutes to get my breath back before saying hello to her when I first met her. And I did plan routes to each shop that used lifts and escalators as opposed to ramps or steps. But I was still doing it and managed a fair bit.

Today of course I woke up absolutely aching and still exhausted, so it has been a pretty lazy day. Had a bath, in which I fell asleep in (oops) and decided to have a go at putting my hair in rollers. It has been years and years since it was long enough to even attempt rollers, but I thought it might be fun.

Having an odd shapped head did get a little annoying after a while, but least I didnt go out in them. It seems to be a fashion statement here to go out in rollers and PJs. Not one I will be following any time soon. The only time I have been out in PJs was on a transfer from my house to the hospital as changing took too much effort.

So the finished result.

Its differnt but I am not sure if I like it. It has dropped a lot here to what it was, but I have this huge fear of looking like this:

Oh, and I am going to be brave tomorrow!
It is my friends sisters hen night and I have been invited. It is drinks in her house, then a party bus and then into town clubbing. I have a massive fear of going into town as last time it went horribly wrong. Plus there is the whole energy, breathing and exhaustion issue. But i keep saying that I want to be doing what people my age are doing, and this is one of the things they are doing, so I am going to go for it. eek.

And even more exciting?

Tomorrow morning I go to see Harry Potter!
In IMAX!
In Premiere seats!!
YAY!!

Cant wait.
Hopefully, I can go see that, come home have a sleep and go out partying! yay.

Oh opinions on hair? I have no idea what to do with it tomorrow night.
