I'm Alive

I have not fallen off the face of the planet. =] (shhh with the groans)

So yeah, I got pretty sick the other day (wow was it a week ago already?!)
I was really struggling so mum was going to take me to A&E (more groans) but decided to ring my old ward first for advice. They said to come right over and admitted me. My temp was high, as was my pulse and my oxygen sats low. Didnt look like I would be going away after all.

They put me on humidfied oxygen over night and some IVs. I coughed a ton of crap out but was breathing better, but not great by the morning. My temp had begun to drop too. So my surgeon said to rest for the rest of the day and if I felt upto it I could still go on holiday with some oral anti biotics. They also want me to have a humidfier machine at home for the long term. Unfortunately NHS wont pay for it, so I have to write and appeal, kinda do the whole, well each time I am admitted it is a minimum of £250 a night, do that a couple of times a year and im pretty sure its cheaper to supply me the machine at home. Physio have already trained me on setting it up. But we shall see.

So I was let out of hospital at 5pm and by 6:30pm we were on our way to Dover. Talk about mad packing. Mum had thrown some of my stuff in, but I didnt have a clue what she packed and what she didnt, so ended up only coming with half the stuff I wanted, but oh well.

Still been pretty ill, lots of coughing, lots of blood, but (fingers crossed) it seems to be finally settling today. Im just being kinda to my body, plenty of rest, plenty of fluids and nebs and limiting my time in the sun (awww) of course with sun cream on... (stupid meds)

Today I have spent the morning in St Tropez. Its now 2:30pm and 80oF in the shade. Time to have an ice cold malibu and coke and a nap I think. Taken some beautiful photos, but you will have to wait for most till I get back at the end of the month.
